My Name is Evelyn Rubio i am 17 years old, i transferred to back bay last year. I came to back bay because i was behind in credits. The school i was originally at was Newport Harbor High School.
I really enjoyed going there even though i had trouble with the homework and the school in general. I really like back bay because the main focus is you. The teachers will do anything to see you succeed, and to finish your work. That's what i really enjoy at this school is that they actually care unlike other schools that don't check up on you and end up telling you that you're not going to graduate. I think you can get a lot of credits as well going to Back Bay or Monte Vista. With the help of all these teachers at this school i think a lot of students can earn their credits.
I come from a big Peruvian family, they're all so nice and humble. My Grandmother had 7 children and one of them was my mom. My mom was raised in Peru then migrated here to California in 1986 i believe. She had her fist child (My Brother) then her second child (My Sister) then me. I'm he Youngest child my parents had so i am their last responsibility. They expect me to do well in school and get my credits as fast as i can. Which im planning to and im also planning to go back to Newport Harbor. Even though i know its going to be a hassle trying to get all my credits and go back to my original school but everything is hard in life depends how much you want it you'll do whatever it takes.
I live down the street from the school so its easier for me to get to school. My parents don't have to complain about taking me to school early in the morning or complain about wasting gas or any little excuse they used for me to get to Newport Harbor High School. My favorite things to do is hangout with friends and hangout with my family. I don't do sports, i used to play Basketball my Sophomore year i was going to transfer to Estancia for the year but that didn't end up working out. I also really like going to the beach, and sometimes i go watch the sunset.
